Well, what can I say? My wife and friends have encouraged me not to dive into political and divisive issues - lol! So, I'm afraid that my blogs will be of a more docile nature with encouragement and humor in mind. Sorry to disappoint, but who needs my opinions anyway?
SHOW OFF!!!
This past Friday I went golfing with dad and Bro. Jim. I parred hole #1, and led off on hole #2. My tee shot on this par 3 was beautiful! It looked like it was dead on, and landed about eight feet beyond the pin and rolled back to within 4 feet (picture #1). At this point I was pretty fired up as dad was stepping up to tee off. In my mind I was thinking about how I would hate to have to follow a shot like that! Dad made a comment about it, and said he guessed he'd just have to put it in the cup. HE DID!!! (Picture #2) That stinker---just had to show me up! It was a great moment, and will be something we talk about for years to come.
CHORDSMITH
Some of you are aware that I am singing with a quartet called Chordsmith. This past Saturday night we were invited to sing at Pope City Baptist Church in Woodlawn, Texas. This was my first church to serve at while I was a student at ETBU. We had a blast, and the concert went well! We are working towards a recording date in July, and you can keep up with us by visiting www.chordsmith.org
BABY PHOTO
Last week we were able to visit with my mamaw in Mobile. I snagged a great photo of her with Bethanie---Enjoy!

I would have played nice -- and would probably have been the only one to post something different. So, if you choose to wander off into politics, I promise not to notice. . . LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteFrom family experiences, Bethanie will treasure that picture one day. We have one like that of my oldest nephew at 5 months on the lap of my grandmother on her birthday. She died about a month later, and it allows my nephew to see he had a great-grandmother who loved him.
It's so great to see a pic of your dad. He looks great! Please tell him hi for me and give him a hug!
